Kestrel Run Finish Parking Lot:

Shuttle service for the Raptor Route trail system departs from the Kestrel Run parking lot. Located 2.5 miles above the entrance booth on Sand Flats road. Parking here eliminates the 4 mile dusty pedal back to town. Raptor Route is Moab’s newest trail system offering fun, fast, and flowy intermediate singletrack with a few advanced sections. The Raptor Route trail system totals 12 miles connecting Eagle Eye, Hawk’s Glide, Falcon Flow, and Kestrel Run. If you have energy after your ride, riders can consider topping it off with a pedal along the world famous Slickrock bike trail. Riders have the choice of a 5 mile practice loop or the classic 10-mile Slickrock loop. Please be ready to board the shuttle 15 minutes prior to departure.

Pro tip: A local favorite is to add the UPS trail to this ride.

Note: UPS is an advanced segment of the Whole Enchila trail system.

Kestrel Run Trail Parking

Shuttle service to Kestrel Run and Raptor Route depart from the lower Kestrel Run parking lot.

Located four (4) miles passed the entrance booth on Sand Flats Road. The parking lot is on the left hand side of the road and has a porta potty in the Spring and Summer months.

History:

To keep Raptor Route on an intermediate level, bypass Hawk’s Glide and exit onto Sand Flats Road. Proceed down Sand Flats RD to the Kestrel Run trailhead.

Another popular advanced option is to add part of the Whole Enchilada trail system to your ride. From the LPS /Eagle Eye drop-off location, pedal up Sand Flats road 1.3 miles to the Kokopelli trailhead. Enter the Kokopelli trail (marker 3464) and pedal 1.7 miles up to the intersection of the UPS (upper porcupine single track) and Kokopelli trail. Make a left onto UPS then exit LPS (lower porcupine single track) to Eagle Eye.
